So, today at 2 PM will our very first single What Did I Know be released.

This song means a lot to us since it's been with us for so long and describes a certain era in our lives. Still, we don't seem to get tired of it for some strange reason... I actually think this is one of the songs that we enjoy playing the most, you get such a kick from it. And a very sore throat perhaps... But really... it's worth it.

Yet EP kommer att släppas den 20.e maj! Detta ska vi fira med en spelning och kalas på Koriander här i Karlstad, och du är absolut jättevälkommen.

Hela kalaset kostar en hundring, och i detta ingår både inträde, garderob, fest, spelning OCH EN EP! Ja!

Åldersgränsen är 18 år, men du som inte har åldern inne kommer in ändå i målsmans sällskap. Bra va!

Vi har förberett det här så himla länge och lagt ner våra själar i det, så kom dit för tusan!

Yet EP will be released on May 20th! This will be celebrated with a concert and a party at Koriander here in Karlstad, and you are absolutely very much welcome.

The entire party will cost 100 SEK, and this includes both entrance, cloakroom, party, gig and an EP!

The minimum age is 18, if you're younger - bring a parent!

We have prepared this so long and really put our souls into it, so be there for the heck!

WELL HELLO

Just a few lines to say we're back in Karlstad again. The weekend in Gothenburg was wonderful, and we must say we had preferred to stay in it's unsnowiness (and that was a made up word). Mmh! Our minds are kind of messed up right now due to this 2,5 h long meeting we just attended, so we'll just let this foreverness of pictures do the talking.

And thank you again, Ryan and Tim, for letting us come and play!

We have just listened through the whole EP. Mixed, mastered and complete. It feels incredibly good that we're finally done with it. Our first EP. And we'd really like to let you hear it at once, but unfortunately, you'll have to wait just a little little bit longer. We have kind of big plans, you know. We're sorry for all this mystery-making, but you'll get to know it all. We promise to keep you updated.

Now we're full on cashews and really need to say goodnight, because we're heading off to western parts of the country waaaaay too early tomorrow morning. We're talking about Gothenburg, where we're going to perform a small live session. And we never thought we'd say that we'd be proud to play in a KITCHEN, but this time, we are.

Guten Tag! Tuva and I are in Germany (Bremen) for the moment, and my English has gone hiding somewhere in my head. Three languages at a time ain't that easy, and it has taken me way too long only to write this. But I'll give it a try anyway. Bremen is sehr nice, but too cold! And the coffee is good (important). Right now I'm waiting for the final mixes of two songs for the EP to arrive in my inbox. Simon and Emmy are working on them for the moment, and are going to send them away for mastering tonight. Toll! It's getting closer...

Hi. I just wanted to say that, yes, our blog looks a bit messed up right now, but we're working on a new layout and didn't feel like shutting the whole site down completely... So we'll keep on blogging despite this temporary messines, and hope that we'll have ha nice looking blog here very soon.

And by the way: Today we had the very first Skype meeting of our lives. It was a bit like time travelling... I took some screen prints of this epic happening, but... I guess they disappeared in some trans-time-black-hole-thing, and now I'm just making up words so I'd better stop.

Tja. Idag är vi lite lagom mörbultade efter gårdagens två spelningar, så jag sparar blogginlägget om det tills senare. Det var i alla fall skitkul och vi är nöjda.

We're kind of tired since we played two gigs yesterday, so I'll save that blog post for later. Anyway, everything went well and we couldn't have had more fun.

Here's a nice song that I'd like to share with you, by the way. It's like it's on repeat inside my head, that's why I thought of it... It's a song from a really nice Swedish jazz band called Klabbes Bank, and what I like most about it is actually the title, Ibland blir det bara nästan (Sometimes It's Just Almost (or something like that...)). Go ahead and listen to it.

Novemberfestivalen

Hej på er. Nu har snön lagt sig över Karlstad igen. Hur det är i Trollhättan kan nog Tuva svara på, eftersom hon faktiskt är där i skrivande stund. Det är nämligen så att den fina videon hon gjorde tillsammans med Felicia Wallner och Madeleine Iderström inte bara vann pris för bästa animering under Filmörnen i somras, utan också gick vidare till Novemberfestivalen, eller "kortfilms-SM" som man kan kalla den. Så nu är hon i Trollywood och ska antagligen se på en massa bra film hela natten. Vi andra håller tummarna!

Hi there. Once again, the snow is falling over Karlstad. Perhaps is Trollhättan white as well? Tuva should know, she's actully there at the moment to participate in Novemberfestivalen (which is a festival for new Swedish film) with the music video for our song G1. We're really glad that the video (by the way, made by Tuva, Felicia Wallner and Medeleine Iderström) made it all the way to Trollywood and hope it might bring some more VIDAR-likers.

Spotlight Music 2010

Nu är spelningarna på Spotlight Music avklarade!
Det som var speciellt med de här spelningarna var att de var specialsydda för det här tillfället (vilket förklarar rephysterin) eftersom vårat uppdrag var att, i vår egen repertoar blanda in ett par tolkningar av band och artister från områdena Innovation Music Network jobbar med. Det blev bl.a. Tallest Man on Earth, Nina Ramsby & Martin Hederos och Marit Bergman, men mest uppskattad var nog Sabatons Ghost Division i tretakt med dragspel och cello...
Men nu ska vår egen musik få fokus igen och det ska bli väldigt skönt! Ha en fin helg!

So, now are the gigs at Spotlight Music over. These gigs were a bit special, since we were questioned by Innovation Music Network to play some songs by bands from the regions where IMN works. For example did we cover Sabaton's Ghost Division. Imagine that in triple time with cello and accordion...
Now we're looking forward to, from now on, only work with our own music. Next up is Yet EP.

Ett klyschigt och föga informativt inlägg

Hej allihopa. Hoppas ni har haft en bra Halloween eller vad det heter nu för tiden. Vi har i alla fall mest repat. I 6 timmar i lördags och i hela 10 timmar i söndags och idag påbörjade en ny inspelning och ska repa igen en sista gång imorgon inför spelningarna på Spotlight Music 2010. Sen börjar jobbet med att se till så att allt (och med "allt" menar jag väldigt, väldigt mycket) klaffar med EP-releasen. Så om det är lite tyst på den här fronten så vet ni varför, men jag ska försöka att sluta tycka synd om mig själv, för det är ju trots allt väldigt roligt.

We rehearsed for about 10 hours this Sunday and started the recording of the last song for the EP today. And tomorrow is the final rehearsal before the gigs at Spotlight Music 2010, which you can read about here.

Well, the headline tells you quite much about our coming evening...
We've been offered two very special (and decent) gigs in early November, and we're in an ocean of songs that we're supposed to arrange and rehearse before this deadline. Plus, there's a lot of work with the releasing of the EP, which is going to be called Yet EP. So now we're going to bake a big chocolate cake, light some candles and work hard as... and make sure something really good comes out of this effort. Take care and have a nice weekend!
